Altar servers provide an important ministry during parish liturgies. They lead processions, assist the priests, and add dignity and reverence to the liturgy by carrying out their roles. By becoming an altar server, boys and girls learn about the Mass, and they learn about responsibility and commitment by serving when they are assigned and finding replacements when they are unable to serve.

Training is provided for parish children interested in becoming altar servers beginning in the fourth grade.
